In the video for this question, one of the comments was: "So as long as we are aware, we can be praying." I like to think that even if we stop momentarily because we remember someone in need or because we realize how blessed we are, God hears us. If we consciously act in the service of others, that is also a form of prayer.
I try to think of prayer as a posture or way of being more so than an action...prayer is about awareness, about aligning our wills to God's. If we are in such a posture then anything and everything we do can be a form of prayer, and ordinary things can become means of grace.
